Okay. this is a piece that I made for my experimental painting class. Think: landscape. I want to make a series out of these, and continue the line that's happening between the two works.

TEASER ON THE ART

Helena takes great pictures, and was nice enough to document my work for me. Here are just two pictures that give a little insight into what i have been doing in my experimental painting class, installation influence.

this is a detail of one of the paintings that i have done. I do not think it is finished but i need to wait for the paint to dry. acrylic, glue, oil paint.

I don't start litho tomorrow, i actually have an entire week of just studio time. good thing i looked at my schedule. i better get busy. 

Madeline's Birthday

Today is Madeline's birthday. Happy birthday best roommate ever! 20, you are so oldddd

we threw a party for her yesterday and woke up with the apartment a disaster. It's already squeaky clean though, madeline is very good at cleaning. 

I start a new class tomorrow. lithography, I am super excited about it

HELSINKI

We went to Helsinki Friday. It was fun, and expensive and rainy. My favorite part was the train ride. It took 3 hours to get there and with the student discount the ride cost 22 euro, one way. Went shopping and some sightseeing. It was good. We will definitely be going back!

80's party tomorrow, and then a overnight cruise AND then madeline's birthday. It's gearing up to be a busy week and weekend. Lots of r and r sunday i'm sure. I'll keep you guys updated as best as i can!

TIVOLI

A new bar opened, and we all went for a night out. It was fun, we got free drink(s) and passes for a free entrance anytime until two thousand eleven. woop woop. Here are a few pictures of our night Friday. School is much better. It's awesome actually. super uber awesome.

okay. So, here are some art pics of my painting in progress. Not creating works of art, just letting this place work its' influence naturally.

We went to the lake this weekend. Saimaa Lake, I belive, and are definitely going back. So nice!

And last wednesday was a school sponsored all day drink a thon with team challenges. It was fun, but I was too tired to party. Asleep by twelve!

This weekend was pretty slow and calm. Made black bean burgers on Sunday, but I hadn't showered, so  I am not allowing any pictures to be posted on here from it. But believe me, they were heaven. Tomorrow there is an international soccer game, hopefully someone photographs so i post some of the images on here. It's already been 2 and a half weeks, HARD TO BELIEVE!

Night out

It was our first night out. It was a lot of fun, and my english is getting worse being here while everyone else's is getting better. I am going to spend all day today sleeping and  not doing anything. Much needed R&R time.
